Experimental pop artist Lotic is remixing tracks from her 2021 album Water for an upcoming EP Sparkling Water - the most recent being a hypnotic horn reworking of 'Always You'. The "Houston raised, Berlin saved" artist makes multi-textured, political electronic music that is inspired by ballroom culture and explores issues surrounding gender and race that has been capturing people's attention and imagination: her previous album Power caught the attention of Björk and earned her a a support slot on her tour and an invitation to remix one of her tracks. 'Always You (Sparkling)' is a deviation; the layers of subtle, pulsing and glitchy electronics are replaced with a live recorded spacious and gentle horn arrangement that gives room for her powerful voice to demonstrate its power and emotion.
